We are a group of people collectively called The Volunteer Rangers. The group was formed several years ago by the Park Rangers to do environmental and conservation work in the Dene. We are from different backgrounds, are different ages, and have different dispositions; but, we work as a team in rain or shine to look after some of the green spaces around our city.

This is great fun, and often involves strenuous physical work such as clearing out the river, drains, removing fallen trees and keeping the Dene free from graffiti and litter. These activities are directed and supervised by the Park Rangers who work with us.
